Hello!
Hope you've had a great week! :)
It's finally weekend and time for some crafting!
I have sooo many projects in my sketchbook just waiting to be transfered from sketch to reality :)
Today I'd like to show you my latest card:
"Butterflies in May"
Magnolia DT - "Once Upon a Time Collection 2013"
The card is a "trishutter card" wich means it has a bit of a different fold. You'll be able to see what I mean later :) I've been admiring these cards for AGES, and always thought it would be very complicated to make one. But then I found this fantastic video and decided to give it a try. I just loved making it, it was so fun and very, very easy. :)
To make the front, I cut out an oval using the Spellbinders Classic Oval die and stamped and embossed the sentiment "A greeting of Love" from Magnolia in gold.
Then I punched out a bunch of the small flowers to create the flower wreath around the sentiment and added some Liquid Pearls "Buttercup" in the centre.
The leaves are also made by flower punches, that I've cut apart. :)
The butterflies are from Magnolia's latest collection, "Once Upon a Time". They are so fun to work with!
First I coloured them very roughly with some Distress Inks so that the white paper wouldn't shine through. Then I decorated them with Liquid Pearls and Stickles. (Mystic Blue, Black Diamond and Paprika)
Here's how the card looks once you've unfold it :)
Wish you all a wonderful weekend!
hugs,
Hanna
